Important Notice to Our Account Holders and Potential Account Holders

In accordance with Section 326 of the USA Patriot Act of 2001, the act requires that Lee Federal Credit Union help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. We are required to obtain basic identifying information from you and verify that information when you open a new account, add another person to your account, or do business with the credit union.

Lee Federal Credit Union staff will ask you for some basic information designed to help us identify yourself when you open a new account or add another person to your account or apply for a new loan. Our staff will request to see documents identifying you such as photo identification (i.e., driver’s licenses and passports), other government-issued documents, and non-government approved documents.

In most cases, above-mentioned identification will be requested for all account holders conducting business with Lee Federal Credit Union. This is requested because the original document was not obtained in the opening of the account or Lee Federal Credit Union is unable to verify within reasons that the staff know the true identity of the existing account holder.

In all cases, protection of our member’s identity and confidentiality is the Credit Union’s pledge to you. Lee Federal Credit union appreciates your patience and understanding, as we all do our part in complying with the Federal USA Patriot Act of 2001.
